He acts completely different and doesn’t know it. I feel so upset to know I’ve given myself to someone who never respected me.

Just found out after 2.5 years of being married that my husband had been hiding his porn addiction behind my back. I just caught him a week ago doing things that I never could’ve imagined. He keeps saying we’re going through a tough time, but he invalidates how distraught, confused, and frustrated at why our marriage was suffering. He kept saying everything was good and that I need to relax or chill out until I had the proof. He doesn’t want me to leave him. He only started therapy the past week because I threatened leaving… I feel lied to, deceived, and betrayed. He doesn’t hit me, he doesn’t abuse substances, but that doesn’t make what’s been going on feel any less than abusive… I really feel I’ve uncovered an affair and have been told to “shake it off” by him.

The difficulty is every relationship is the honeymoon phase. Differentiating between love bombing and puppy love or honeymoon phase is extremely difficult. I’ll just not be interested in letting another predatory FEMALE in my life ever again. I’m more than a 6 figure income, 4bdr house and gone working most the time. Predatory females are everywhere.

I went through this a few years ago in a church and still feel shame about it. There was a narcissistic leader in a church who targeted me and he ended up being manipulative, a gaslighter and just all around a piece of doo do. He would stare at me for really long periods of time without saying a word. Never spoke or said a word but the predatory stare, which gave me the strong impression he wanted to dominate me. When I told someone else at the church exposing their behavior they launched a smear campaign against me. One of my good friends became their flying monkey and I developed panic attacks as a result of this. It’s awful, truly awful what these monsters do to people. My spidey senses went off when this man approached me knowing my hometown and details about me that I have never ever shared with him or barely anyone in the church.

As a 58 year old Christian man I can say that I have never been pressured for sex by a woman. The pressure men get from women is for money. I worked with a man who was 60 years old divorced and retired from the state of Arizona with a good pension. He met a 35 year old woman in church (I believe) with six kids. She was real friendly and they dated a very short time and then got married. After a year or so the woman said that there was too many last names in the house so he adopted her six kids. Once the adoptions were completed she divorced him and demanded child support for the six kids which he had to pay. When a woman stares at me and is friendly I ask myself how much is this woman going to cost me?

I thank God 🙏 my doesn't care, when we first started dating she found a box of VHS taped, she said what is this, I told her, she said 0, that was 18 years ago, haven't heard anything about it since. That's how it should be.

Even before we were married my husband has always been super honest about his addiction. He went a long time without it but I think he learned to use it as a coping mechanism, so of course it eventually reared it's ugly head. After having kids it definitely got worse because I don't think he was prepared for how busy and stressful being parents can be. He is still pretty honest about it and will come to me and tell me when he is struggling. But there have been times when he's tried to hide it too. This one time, it was really bad and I caught him. I got our kids to bed and then I sat him down and told him the ugly truth. That if he is going to choose to go down this path and not get help, I'm not going to stick around to watch him self-destruct. I told him that he 100% is cheating and that if he wants to stay married, he has to ACTIVELY be trying to get help and build trust. And then I said, "This is all on you. I can't force you to do anything. I just hope you know what you stand to lose." So far he's been doing okay, but there's a lot of trust than needs to be rebuilt and I am scared that someday he'll just take a turn for the worse and I'll lose him to porn.

I recent found out out about my husband's (addiction?) He had lots of videos and pictures. Thousands. Toys I'd never seen. Toys for him. Bookmarks for every porn site you can think of. Visits adults stores so often they're favorites in his Google maps. So pretty sure addiction. I was broken. I struggle with long covid. I panic and get bad anxiety. I don't think as well as I did 2 years ago. I can't speak well. I depend on him. And now this. I don't know where to turn. I'm lost. I'm just lost.

Now only talking to a woman is now considered grooming. After hearing this shit I'm not talking to another woman again ever! Have fun with your paranoia and loneliness bitch!

From someone telling me what to do and seriously trying to manipulate me and isolate me from so many things that define peer pressure and grooming. being groomed at 20 years old right now is very sad and depressing. He kept telling me "Alcohol got people laid" and I just was not interested when he said that he just wanted to make me think I should drink when I turn 21. My creepy neighbor just kept going on and on about all these things I should do. I'm a guy who is not interested in substances or anything, I rather stay sober and be born with it forever.

OMG!!! Yes!!! I have recently started trusting myself more by saying.. I have a DATABASE others don’t have! I can sense a predator - when no logic points to it and everyone else says I’m ‘triggered’ But only now am I starting to trust that..

I'm only half way through but this doesn't sound like grooming it's a guy being overtly perverted. She should have just said woah and stopped answering and avoided him from then on. Sounds like your friend is kind of naive.

Amazing video! Thank you so much. I absolutely needed to hear this today. You are so right about counselors not addressing the bigger picture of addiction. We've been through SO MANY marriage counselors and no one was helpful; his addiction and emotional abuse just kept getting worse. Now that we are in a therapeutic separation, he has finally accepted his addiction, and he is in treatment. Meanwhile, I am taking good care of myself, and I have found a wonderful individual therapist and a great 12-step group.

This IS NOT someone "grooming" someone this is a person who is fliting outright, making it clear their intentions - the woman could had several chances to hang up or stop but continued - men and women have been doing this for centuries

What do you think about that situation. Mother of three is homeless and searching, meets a man who immediately offers help. They chat some time and then he finds a house and they move in together. He is not really telling what his profession is, is kinda vage about personal details. Then tells things which indicate he has some kind of schizophrenia and that he is not allowed to see his children alone. Then he gives the oldest child alcohol as a present and wants to hold hands with her while being drunk himself. The mother belittels his behaviour and says the daughter would exaggerate because she is jelaous of their now relationship. Now the mother told me they want to move to another country because the system in our country is breaking apart and that they need to go as well because of G5 making them sick. They don't have internet anymore. She is financially dependend on the system and I guess now on him but does not question anything that man tells her. She knows him for 5 months now. It stinks fishy but what can I do she doesn't listen to her friends.

Thank you, that was so good. I'm going to listen to the album on my way to work and get the book on audio. I'm trying to heal, still so much anger, hurt, resentment, pain. Anger at myself even, though I understand I didn't know any better, still mad at myself, so many stupid choices. Mostly, all because trying to please and help others, to no avail. In the end rejection after rejection from everyone, I just realized as I was writing this. I was reaching out and Doing, with love and for love and the opposite happened! Oh, I hurt so bad. So hard to get beyond this! I wish I had like 6 months to just journal and cry. It seems like every time I really feel, there is just no time to sit in it!
